Photographing Palestine: Life and Hope

Palestine Square does not own any of the following photographs and full credit belongs to the photographers. The purpose of the article is to highlight and promote the work of Palestinian photographers who bear witness to their people’s struggles and aspirations. Many of these photographers have collections outside of historic Palestine, but we have chosen to focus on those photographs within the original borders of Palestine.

"A meal of stuffed vine leaves and zucchinis at #hoshyasmine organic Resturaunt (and art retreat) in #BeitJala #Palestine - nothing better than a meal here at sunset with the valley of Walaja ahead. A warning though - the Israeli settlement of Gilo continues to push its way in from the North. If I moved my camera a bit to the right you would see the monstrosity it has on the landscape and harmony of nature." Photo Credit: Sami Alalul.
